About Q&B Mosque
The B&Q Mosque project is a masterclass in modern Islamic architecture, blending traditional spiritual elements with a clean, contemporary aesthetic. The design prioritizes light, geometry, and a sense of serene openness.
- Geometric Mashrabiya: The building features intricate, large-scale fretwork screens that provide privacy and solar shading while casting beautiful geometric shadows internally.
- Mihrab & Qibla Wall: The focal point is a stunning, minimalist Mihrab integrated into a wall of floor-to-ceiling geometric panels. Subtle backlighting emphasizes the depth of the patterns.
- Lighting Design: The space is illuminated by a grand, modern ring chandelier and recessed linear LED strips that follow the architectural lines of the ceiling, creating an ethereal glow.
- Materiality: Soft, neutral-toned carpeting with subtle directional patterns is paired with warm accents and white fabric-effect finishes.
- Wudu Area: A highly functional yet aesthetic ablution space featuring sleek marble seating, modern fixtures, and clean tiled surfaces designed for ease of maintenance and hygiene
